Moominmamma
Moominmamma is the mother of Moomintroll and the spouse of Moominpappa. She is especially known for her gentleness, caring nature, and love of gardening. Moominmamma is most easily recognized by the black handbag she always carries with her and her red-striped apron. The inspiration for Moominmamma was Tove Jansson’s own mother, the cartoonist and illustrator Signe Hammarsten-Jansson.
