The Ancestor Moomin bowl was released in 2016. Moomin collectors’ wishes were answered when the Ancestor finally got his own character bowl. The artwork of the bowl is based on Tove Jansson’s novel Moominland Midwinter. Together with the Tooticky Violet Moomin bowl, this was the first Moomin bowl that had the character name printed on the bottom stamp of the bowl. The mysterious, small and hairy Ancestor was also part of the Moominvalley animation series in 2019, where he moved to live in the tile oven of the Moominhouse.
