The Moominmamma Marmalade Moomin bowl continues the Moominmamma character mug series after Moominmamma apricot was discontinued in 2020. Moominmamma as a character, created by Tove Jansson, is based on her own mother Signe Hammarsten-Jansson. No wonder that Moominmamma is the kind pillar of support in the Moominhouse who can always give advice and loving care.
In Moominmamma Marmelade bowl’s artwork Moominmamma is tending to her vegetable patch with her maid Misabel who got her own character bowl in 2020. On the other side of the bowl Moominmamma shows her more relaxing side as she’s enjoying her coffee in the rocking chair. The mug’s artwork is based on Tove and Lars Jansson’s comic strips Moomin Winter (1959) and Moominmamma’s Maid (1956).
