The Moomintroll turquoise Moomin bowl was brought into market together with the pink Snorkmaiden bowl in 2013. The illustration on the bowl came from Tove Jansson’s comic strip Moomin Builds a House, in which Mymble and her kids have taken over the Moominhouse. In the comic strip, Little My and Snorkmaiden suggested that Moomintroll would build a house for him and Snorkmaiden.
Moomintroll being the main character in the Moomin stories, it is evident that Arabia prefers to bring him up by releasing a renewed single character bowl of him from time to time. In 2019 we got a new version of the Moomintroll bowl, this time on a grass green background.
