The Ancestor Moomin jar was released in 2016. The Moomin collectors’ wishes were answered when the Ancestor finally got his own product line in the Arabia Moomin collection. The jar’s artwork is based on Tove Jansson’s novel Moominland Midwinter. The mysterious, small and hairy Ancestor was also part of the Moominvalley animation series in 2019, where he moved to Moominhouse’s tile oven.
