Moomin mini mug Holiday Rush is a part of Moomin Arabia’s summer seasonal collection for 2026. The Holiday Rush collection marks the beginning of a new five-part series of summer seasonal products inspired by the Moomins’ adventures on the Riviera. The softly toned Holiday Rush collection includes, among other items, a mug, a plate, and a mini mug. Products from the collection will be available exclusively from May 6th to September 30th 2026.
The first Riviera-themed summer seasonal collection depicts the Moomins’ very first journey to the luxurious French coast. Packing preparations are in full swing as Moominmamma, Moominpappa, Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden each take turns trying to fit everything they need into their suitcases. The lively illustration on the Holiday Rush collection is inspired by Tove Jansson’s Moomin on the Riviera comic strip from 1955. The comic is partly based on real-life events from a trip Tove Jansson and her mother took together to the Riviera in 1954. Additional elements of the illustration draw inspiration from the comics Moomintroll and the Comet (1958) and Moomintroll Under Sail (1959).
A charming detail decorates the inside of the Holiday Rush mug: a note that reads, “The key is under the window-sill!”. For the first time, a similar detail also appears on a Moomin plate, as the same note illustration can be found printed along the rim of the plate.
