Moomin mug Talk It All Out is a part of a new Moomin mug series released by Moomin Arabia in 2026. The Rebel Club series takes Moomin mugs in a more eccentric and humorous direction. The mugs in the Rebel Club series have a capacity of 0.4 liters.
The bold illustrations of the Rebel Club collection are based on Tove Jansson’s Moomin comics from the 1950’s, which were primarily intended for an adult audience. The first of these comics was published in the British newspaper Evening News in 1954. Tove’s brother, Lars Jansson, joined in creating the comics in 1957. Tove stopped drawing them in 1960, but Lars continued working on the Moomin comics until 1975.
The illustration on the Talk It All Out mug is based on Tove Jansson’s comic Moomin Falls in Love (1956), which features Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden as the main characters. When Moomintroll falls for a theatre actress, Snorkmaiden begins to feel insecure and jealous. Emotions run high, and drama is unavoidable. In the end, Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden manage to work things out by talking, and by taking part in a romantic play on the theatre stage themselves.
