Moomin plate Berry Season is the 2024 summer seasonal Moomin plate by Moomin Arabia. The Berry Season plate continues themes set by previous summer seasonal plates where the Moomins are enjoying quality time in the nature doing various activities.
The illustration on the Berry Season plate is based on Tove Jansson’s comic strips Moominmamma’s Maid (1956) and The Conscientious Moomin (1958). This time the Moomins are enjoying summer by picking up berries in the garden. The illustration shows how the red and black currants are already picked up and the Moomin family is prepared to transform those berries into jam. Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden are crushing the berries in a playful spirit in an old bath tub that seems to be used as a creative dish. Even though Moominhouse’s basement is most likely filled with jam already, the Moomin family can’t resist making the most of the fresh berries.
The Berry Season set includes a mug and a plate.
