Published in 2004, the Family Moomin plate represented several of the Moominvalley’s main characters instead of a single character. The illustration on the plate has been pieced together from multiple Tove and Lars Jansson’s works: comic #17 Moomin and the Comet (1958), novel Moominland Midwinter (1957), comic #8 Moomin Begins a New Life (1956) and Moomipappa from Lars Jansson’s comic #70 Moominpappa and Old Age (1974). Tove Slotte took the liberty to remove a wreath from Moomin Mamma’s head.
