The Moomintroll Turquoise Moomin plate was brought into market together with the Snorkmaiden Pink Moomin plate in 2013, but was removed from production a year earlier in 2018. The plate’s illustration came from Tove Jansson’s comic strip Moomin Builds a House, in which Mymble and her kids have taken over the Moominhouse. In the comic strip, Little My and Snorkmaiden suggested that Moomintroll should build a house for him and Snorkmaiden.
Moomintroll being the main character in the Moomin stories, it is evident that Arabia prefers to bring him up by releasing a renewed single character plate of him from time to time. In 2019 we got a new version of the Moomintroll plate, this time on a grass green background.
