Moomin bowl Little My and Meadow is already the fourth Moomin bowl where the main character in the illustration of the bowl is Little My. Little My is in fact one of the most popular Moominvalley characters of all time. Some of the secrets to the popularity of the character must be Little My’s infinite courage, fearlessness and a way to always speak her mind. This Moomin bowl came to replace the previous Little My Moomin bowl that was discontinued in 2021.
The illustration on the Moomin bowl Little My and Meadow are based on Tove and Lars Jansson’s comic strip story Moomin and the Comet, which was published in 1958. In the story a comet is heading towards Moominvalley and the inhabitants of Moominvalley are suddenly forced to leave their homes. Little My, Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden set out to dig deeper into the mysteries of the comet. True to her nature, Little My isn’t too worried about the approaching comet as she lies down in a meadow to stare at it. Together they are wondering the new shiny, bright star in the sky.
