The Moominpappa Thinking Moomin bowl set the trend for Arabia’s Moomin character bowls. Soon after the success of the early 90’s mugs, Arabia realized that the mugs were looking too similar. The idea about presenting a single Moomin character from both sides on a single colored background was born in the late 90’s. The same idea was also used for the character bowls. Black background was a perfect fit for Moominpappa, since even his trademark top hat is black!
