Discontinued Moomin figurine Mymble hand made by Leo Tykkyläinen (1919-1984). The figurines were made in the 1950’s to be sold in Stockmann department store with an exclusive license from Tove Jansson granted in 1956. Around 15 000 figurines were made using different characters with different color variations. Leo Tykkyläinen started working for Arabia in 1964. The license to make Moomin figurines transferred to Arabia as well. The size of the figurine is around 5,5 cm in height.
The figurines were made between 1956 and 1964. The figurines featured the following Moomin characters: Moominpappa, Moominmamma, Moomintroll, Snorkmaiden, Inspector, Tooticky, Mymble, Snufkin, Little My and Misabel.
