The Ancestor Moomin mug was released in 2016. The Moomin collectors’ wishes were answered when the Ancestor finally got his own character mug. The mug’s artwork is based on Tove Jansson’s novel Moominland Midwinter. In addition to the Tooticky violet Moomin mug, this was the first Moomin mug that had the character’s name printed on the bottom stamp of the mug. The mysterious, small and hairy Ancestor was also a part of the Moominvalley animation series in 2019, where he moved to Moominhouse’s tile oven.
