Moomin mug Beach Day is the 2025 summer seasonal Moomin mug by Moomin Arabia. The mug is also known as On the Beach, but it must not be mixed with the summer seasonal mug of 2008 with the same name. The Beach Day collection is filled with delicious pastel colors and consists of a mug and a plate.
The illustration on the Beach Day mug is based on Tove and Lars Jansson’s comic Fuddler’s Courtship from 1959. The illustration is fitted to the mug by Parvati Pillai from Moomin Arabia’s design team. Pillai says that the team was looking for the light atmosphere of spending time on the beach and the joy of discovery. On the front side of the mug features Moomintroll who’s collecting seashells from the beach. In the original comic, however, these seashells were a trail of buttons belonging to Muddler who likes collecting buttons. The two immediately became friends. On the other side of the Beach Day mug you can see Moominmamma and Moominpappa enjoying a picnic on the beach after a long summer day of swimming.
