The Night of the Groke Moomin mug was released in 2019 during the spring winter as a part of a series of four Animation Moomin mugs. The mug’s artwork is based on the Moominvalley animation series’ episode nine Night of the Groke. This episode was the one displayed at the series’ publication event and at the premier in Tampere’s Moomin Museum. Gutsy Animation’s Moominvalley animation TV series gave Arabia’s Moomin mugs a completely new kind of a design. The stories and illustrations in the new animation series are in line with the original stories. The new Moomin animation TV series manages to nicely utilize Tove’s characteristic style of using lights and shades.
