The Tooticky violet Moomin Mug was released in 2016. The mug’s artwork was inspired by Tove Jansson’s novel Moominland Midwinter. This violet Moomin mug replaced the earlier blue Tooticky mug after it was removed from production. Tooticky and Ancestor mugs were the first mugs where characters’ names were printed on the bottom of the mugs. Later on the names were changed from Finnish into English. On the artwork Tooticky is playing the barrel organ, while Little My dances in the foreground. You can also spot the swimming house in the background.
Tooticky is one of the few Moomin characters who doesn’t hibernate, so she has time to go fishing, which she does on the other side of the mug. Another small detail on the mug is that a text “Tove” is hidden on the mug’s artwork.
