Moomin mug Opera is a special edition mug launched by Moomin Arabia to celebrate the 25th anniversary of a Japanese online store Scope specialized in kitchenware and ceramics. The Opera collection consists of a mug, a Moomintroll plate and a Little My plate. The collection is available only from Scope online store in Japan where they ship only within Japan. Only one batch of each item has been made. Once that batch has been sold out there will be no additional products coming.
The illustration on the Opera Moomin mug is based on the first ever Moomin opera aired at the National Opera of Finland in 1974.
Moomin mug Home at Last is a part of Moomin Arabia’s Home at Last collection launched in 2025 only for the Japanese market. In addition to the 0.3 liter mug, the collection includes a mini mug and a mini plate as well. In the bottom of the mug you will find a special “Japan 2025” stamp. The mug comes with an original gixt box as well. The collection is being sold from 6th of March until the end of the year 2025. The collection will expand with new items coming to the Nordics on 1st of July. These new items include a pie dish and a 0.4 liter Moomin mug.
The illustration on the Home at Last mug is based on Tove Janssons comic Moomin and Family Life (1955). In that story Moominmamma and Moominpappa rescue Moomintroll from the mercy of the sea.
