The Evening Swim Moomin plate was released in 2019 as an addition to the series of summer seasonal Moomin plates inspired by Tove Jansson’s comic strips. The Evening Swim plate got its original artwork from Tove Jansson’s comic strip Moomin’s Desert Island. The comic strip was originally published in the Evening News newspaper in 1955. Designer Tove Slotte has combined these comic strips into a design where the Moomin family is on an evening swim. The plate manages to magnificently capture a sunset and summery vibes.
