The Moominmamma Marmalade Moomin plate continues the Moominmamma plate series after the Moominmamma apricot was discontinued in 2020. Moominmamma as a character, created by Tove Jansson, is based on her own mother Signe Hammarsten-Jansson. No wonder that Moominmamma is the kind pillar of support in the Moominhouse who can always give advice and loving care.
In Moominmamma Marmelade plate’s artwork Moominmamma is tending to her vegetable patch with her maid Misabel who got her own character mug in 2020. The plate’s artwork is based on Tove and Lars Jansson’s comic strips Moomin Winter (1959) and Moominmamma’s Maid (1956).
