Moomin mini plate ABC E is a part of the Arabia Alphabets Moomin collection launched in 2022. The original collection had only 0.4 liter mugs. The main purpose of the Alphabets collection is to encourage us to come up with various letter combinations to create new and meaningful words. The first alphabet mugs were L, O, V and E mugs that together form the word love. The collection is a part of the Reading, Writing and the Moomins initiative, spreading the joy of reading and writing in the lives of children, youth, and adults.
In 2025 Moomin Arabia launched new mini plates to the Alphabet collection. These mini plates are sold only in Japan. There are 13 different letters featured on these mini plates. All of these letters can be found among the 0.4 liter Moomin mugs as well.
The Alphabet collection brings Tove Jansson’s wonderful alphabet illustrations to Moomin Arabia’s dishes for the very first time. The alphabets are based on Jansson’s hand-drawn initials and lettering for the book The Memoirs of Moominpappa and the maps of Moominvalley. Jansson combined each letter with a specific Moomin character. Individually these items make great signature items and personal gifts on birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. The diameter of the mini plate is 10.5 cm.
The illustration on the ABC E mini plate features Mymble as the main character.
