Moomin mug Moomintroll Daydreaming was launched in 2005. The mug is currently the second rarest and the second most expensive Arabia Teema Moomin mug after the Fazer Moomin mug. A total of 2005 pieces of Moomintroll Daydreaming mugs were made for Arabia’s exhibition in Helsinki in 2005.
The black and white illustration on the mug was taken from Tove Jansson’s novel Moominsummer Madness. Tove Slotte, who has illustrated almost all of the Moomin mugs, has mentioned that Moomintroll Daydreaming is one of her favorite mugs. Unlike the regular mugs, these mugs’ stamp on the bottom has an additional text: “Muumipeikko Unelmoi • Mumintrollet Dagdrömmer • Moomintroll Daydreaming • 2005”
