The Sleep well Moomin mug was released in 2019 as an addition to the True To Its Origins tableware series. This series, launched in 2017, already consisted of multiple different products: a mug, a bowl, a plate, two different sized jars, a serving bowl and a teapot. The mug got its artwork from the novel Moominpappa at Sea. The mug showcases Tove’s ingenuity of using lights and shades, which is highlighted by the black and white design of the mug. Until May 2020 the mug was only available at the Moomin Shops, Moomin.com online store and Iittala stores. Since then this mug has been available from the other retailers as well.
