Moomin mug Love 30 is part of the special Love 30th anniversary collection for 2026. The Love 30 collection celebrates the 30-year journey of the iconic Love Moomin mug. This mug should not be confused the rarer limited edition version. The mug will be available until the end of 2026 or while supplies last. The mug has a capacity of 0.3 liters.
Love appears in its many forms as a common theme in several of Moomin Arabia’s new releases for early 2026. At the heart of it all is the Love 30th anniversary limited edition mug, celebrating the milestone year of Moomin Arabia’s all-time most popular mug, Love, which turns 30 in 2026. The original illustration from 1996 is based on four different comic strips created by Tove Jansson: Moomin and the Martians (1957), Jungle Life (1956), Building a House (1956), and Snorkmaiden Goes Rococo (1958).
The most iconic scene in the illustration – and perhaps in Moomin Arabia’s entire product history – shows Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden hugging, taken from the comic Moomin and the Martians. In the story, a curious Moomintroll examines a broken device found in the Martians’ crashed flying saucer and accidentally shrinks himself and Moominmamma to miniature size. This sets off a whirlwind of events, which ends when one of the Martians helps reverse the shrinking effect. Relieved, Snorkmaiden hugs Moomintroll, who is back to his normal self.
The Love 30 mug differs from the original 1996 version in a couple of ways. On the bottom of the mug, you’ll find the Love 30 anniversary stamp, and the mug comes in a high-quality gift box.
