Moomin mug Home at Last is a part of Moomin Arabia’s Home at Last collection launched in 2025 only for the Japanese market. In addition to the mug, the collection includes a mini mug and a mini plate as well. The collection is being sold from 6th of March until the end of the year 2025. The second half of the year will see this collection expanding to other, new products that will be available outside of Japan as well. In the bottom of this mug you will find a special “Japan 2025” stamp. The volume of the mug is 0.3 liters.
The illustration on the Home at Last mug is based on Tove Janssons comic Moomin and Family Life (1955). In that story Moominmamma and Moominpappa rescue Moomintroll from the mercy of the sea. Soon after they realize him to be their long-lost son, and the family can return home together at last. A true Moomin collector will see some similarities between the illustration on the Home at Last mug and the illustration on the Family Time Moomin mug launched in early 2025. Both mugs show the same picture of Moomintroll hugging Moominmamma with Moominpappa standing beside them.
As a part of the Moomin 80th anniversary Moomin Arabia and Red Cross are working together in collecting funds for those in need. The Home at Last collection is the first implementation of this collaboration. For each item sold, one euro is donated to the local Red Cross Society to support the humanitarian work of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Moomin Arabia will also be joining the Red Cross in Japan at the Osaka Expo, an event that brings together people, businesses and non-profits from around the world in an effort to tackle issues facing humankind on a global scale. The Home at Last collection will also be available for purchase during the Osaka Expo Fair from the 13th of April until the 13th of October 2025.
